Founder/Owner & Head Coach

Benson Langat is the Founder and Head Coach of Bensane Run Coaching & Sports Consulting, where performance and mindset come together to help athletes grow and succeed. With nearly two decades of competitive running experience and advanced education in clinical social work and strategic leadership, Benson focuses on developing athletes for long-term success — not just short-term results.

As a former elite athlete who competed for Skechers Performance, Maurten Official, and Coros Global, Benson understands high performance firsthand. His athletic career includes a 17th-place finish at the Boston Marathon, along with multiple national victories and podium finishes.

His coaching experience spans every level of the sport. Benson has helped first-time runners complete their first 5K, guided high school athletes to Individual State Championships, and prepared competitors for some of the most respected races in the world — including the Boston Marathon, Chicago Marathon, New York City Marathon, and all World Major Marathons. His athletes have earned podium finishes at major events, including 3rd place at the New York City Marathon, 1st place at the Boulder Boulder 10K, and 1st place at the Mexico City Marathon, along with many other successful performances.

Benson also serves as a Coaching Certification Instructor for the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA), where he trains and mentors coaches with professionalism and integrity.

No matter where an athlete starts — from beginners to elite competitors — Benson is committed to helping each person reach their highest potential and build the discipline and resilience needed to succeed both in sport and in life.
